Asha is a highly experienced professional with over 30 years of expertise in program development, design, implementation, strategic planning, and management. She has extensive field experience in health service delivery across various sectors, including public/government, NGO/civil society, uniformed services, and public-private sectors, in Asia, Africa, and the USA. Asha has over 16 years of experience as a Country Director/Deputy CD, Chief of Party, and Deputy Chief of Party across different projects from various countries.
She has demonstrated exceptional skills in leading and managing both multi-million/large-scale and small programs. She possesses expertise in managing human resources, operations and administration, as well as project transitions, start-ups, and closeouts, complex partnership consortiums, and multiple funding portfolios. Her areas of specialization include prevention and care programming for HIV, harm reduction, anti-trafficking, and related behavioral research. She also has extensive experience in capacity building in the public sector, NGO/CBOs, civil society sectors, and systems strengthening. Additionally, Asha Ji has experience in health systems strengthening, access to and service delivery for vulnerable groups and communities, and integrated/resilient community development program planning, management, and implementation.
During her free time, Asha Ji enjoys spending time with her grandchild and travelling as much as possible.
