As Senior Technical Advisor for Game of Choice, Not Chance, Laurette provides expertise in Adolescent Sexual and Reproductive Health to ensure accuracy within game design.

With over 20 years of experience in international public health, she brings a wealth of connections with donors, practitioners, researchers, and advocates to build partnerships and expand the reach of the game.

Many years ago, as a Peace Corps Volunteer, she saw the social burdens under which girls and women live, especially the lack of knowledge, support, and agency to determine their own sexual and reproductive lives. This launched her passion for women and girls’ empowerment and drives her to help them realize their dreams and live healthy, productive lives.

Laurette was previously Senior Youth & Reproductive Health Advisor at USAID Washington. Prior to that, she was a USAID Global Health Fellow in India, seconded to Dasra, a strategic philanthropy organization, to support the Dasra Girl Alliance, which engaged a diverse group of stakeholders, including government, private sector, NGOs, and the donor community to grow a thriving ecosystem for adolescent girls in India. She spent most of her career with the Centre for Development and Population Activities, better known as CEDPA.

Laurette loves to read and cook for friends and family, including her cat, Eugenie!. She also enjoys walking in nature areas and doing yoga – and occasionally, dancing!
